Marcus Bethurem, DO
Dr. Bethurem is a psychiatrist serving children, adolescents, and adults. He is board certified in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He completed his residency training for General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Carolina / Prisma Health - Midlands. During his time as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow, he served as Chief Resident and was honored with the USC Clerkship Director’s Medical Student Educator Award.
Dr. Bethurem is experienced with diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia among other mental health challenges.
Dr. Bethurem especially enjoys working with patients with ADHD and comorbidities such as anxiety and PTSD. He also has special interest in patients with developmental delay and behavioral disturbance.
Outside of his work with Southern Psychiatry, Dr. Bethurem also has affiliations with Prisma Health.
