Katelin Williamson, DO
Dr. Williamson, is board certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Perinatal Mental Health Society (Marcé of North America). She specializes in outpatient psychiatric care of children, adolescents and adults. She has a special interest in early childhood development and attachment, as well as perinatal mental health.
Dr. Williamson completed her undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University, graduating from the Honor’s College with both a Bachelors of Business as well as a Bachelors of Science. She went on to complete her medical school training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in the top 10 of her medical school class. Dr. Williamson completed residency training in General Psychiatry at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health – Midlands. Following her general psychiatric training, she completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, also at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health – Midlands. During her fellowship training she served as Chief Resident, and was awarded the USC Clerkship Director’s Medical Student Educator Award. In addition to her outpatient work at Southern Psychiatry, Dr. Williamson is affiliated with Spartanburg Area Mental Health and the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Telepsychiatry Program.
